Welcome to my new website and my first blog ever!

I wrote this in honor of all the artists, goddesses and inspiring forces supporting my vision bloom further. Thank you.

May this fire burn so bright to purify the mind and open the heart. This is the fire that my mother’s grandmother spoke of. The fire that lives in your belly and if it falls asleep you best wake it fast. Stir your body and remember your vast strength within. As to return to the core of yourself again and again always growing and burning like a torch for all to remember and ignite the love of beginning again.

With dripping river stones in my pockets
Raspberry stained fingers
Tangled ocean breeze still my hair
Worn souls on my boots recalling each step
I return to the urban city dream.
WE are the inheritors of these times, these bodies.
I sing to you, I dance to you, I celebrate and honor you.
May you always remember who you are and why you’ve come to be.
Torch is hand smiling in gratitude.

Happy Imbolc!

In many traditions of Paganism, the Celtic goddess Bridgid is celebrated at Imbolc. She is the protector of hearth and home. She is a fire goddess who is typically associated with poetry, smithcraft, and inspiration. She was especially honored when it came to matters of prophecy and divination. A sacred flame was maintained by a group of priestesses, and her sanctuary at Kildare became the home of a saint.

The myth of Bridgid

She was born at the exact moment of daybreak; Brigid rose into the sky with the sun, rays of fire beaming from her head. She was the daughter of Dagda, the great ‘father-god’ of Ireland.

In Druid mythology, the infant goddess was fed with milk from a sacred cow from the Otherworld. Brigid owned an apple orchard in the Otherworld and her bees would bring their magical nectar back to earth.

It is said that wherever she walked, small flowers and shamrocks would appear. As a sun goddess her gifts are light (knowledge), inspiration, and the vital and healing energy of the sun. Her namesake, Saint Brigid of Ireland, can lay claim to being the most complex, intriguing, widespread, timeless, and beloved of all legendary ladies. Brigid appears in many different guises, with numerous names, in many different European cultures. And she has survived the ravages of time much better than most.
